Glass blowing
Pictures from last class

Introduction to the art of glassblowing designed for adults who would like to learn about this ancient craft and try their hand at making a simple form.

This class was a blast by those who attended. Friday evening we learned different terms that would become important to the process like frit, punting and gathering. After several tries at just gathering Friday evening was just the beginning of a wonderful memory.
Saturday almost everyone arrived excited about what they were about to experience. Each person in class had time enough to make several pieces from a tall vase (that included some tossing around) to beautiful bowls and paper weights. This was such a fun and exciting experience that there may be a second class in the making. Stay tuned for more information about Adult glass blowing classes sponsored by Baker Arts Center .
